Pallet: CS1200-AKL | Calibrating the 1200AKL

  1. Double click on the Quantronix logo at the top of the screen
  2. Log in to “Customer service”
  3. Move the crate used for calibrating into the measure area and measure manually for exact dims. Write them down for later.
  4. Hit “shift – esc” to enter console and take a measurement.
  5. Log in to the system software.
  6. Once logged in click Menu > Show Section Graphic > LMS > Calibrate
  7. Verify the LMS angles and then proceed to align them. To adjust the LMS heads, use ALPHACORR_LMS1 and ALPHACORR_LMS2. Adjust according so the red and blue lines are lined up as closely as possible.
  8. Adjust the width and height by changing the “LMS_BOTTOM” and “LMS_LMS” values. Again, take a measurement after adjusting the values to see changes. Keep adjusting until everything is measuring exactly. You can also turn on or off LMS1 and LMS2 to better see the lines.
  9. Click “Menu”, then “Show Section Graphic” then, “X/Y”, then “Calibrate”, then “Magnify”.
  10. Move the timeline to where the crate is first seen. Then you can adjust the help reference line to line up the red and blue x’s along the bottom line. Make sure they are both parallel and line up exactly along the black “Helpline”. You will see red and blue x’s representing the end of the crate. Check both ends of the timeline to check for all red and blue x’s lining up. *** (Be sure to take a new measurement each time you change these values to see results) ***
  11. “ENCODERDIV” is the value for adjusting the Length. Default is 37,916. In most cases you will never need to adjust this. **(Always write down the number before changing this so that you can revert back if necessary)** Also, CUBZ is a value that can be adjusted for length in minimal increments.
  12. Click on the measurement results at any time to see an auto calculator for “in” and “mm”.
  13. Click “Menu” and then “Reset”. The arm will move and the system will reset to the new changes.
  14. Once the arm moves to the end, note the physical stop value.
  15. Add path to parameter “txt” file to this document C: > Apa > paravmp8.ini
  16. Click “Save Settings to Text File” button. Then you can copy and paste these into the parameter file later.
  17. Save the changes by clicking “Read Configuration File” then “Authenticate Calibration”.
  18. “Free Log File”
  19. Measure 10x. Enter correct manual measurement of crate into corresponding fields. Click “Measure”. Wait for the 10 measurements to complete and compare results/variations.
