Cubiscan 200TS | Gate Sensor Testing

Gate Not Clear Error or Invalid Height or Width Measurements observed.

In the event that a "Gate Not Clear" error, or Invalid Height or Width measurements are observed during operation, instruct the operator to access the test menu and Gate Sensor by doing the following...

  • Stop the belt
  • Key in "009" on the Keypad to the right of the touchscreen 
  • Select Test Mode
  • Select Conveyor
  • Select Gate SensorCS200-TS Gate Sensors not clearing out-JPG
  • Using this page diagnose where the sensor error is coming from and instruct the customer to clean the gate windows, lower gate cover insert and assembly, and the fixed lower gate window below the belts.   See the images below.                    undefined 200-TS Lens cleaning IMG_3114-JPGGate Covers IMG_3119-JPG
  • Possible causes can be tape, stickers, or some foreign object stuck to the belt surface that can flap in the path of the sensors.  This will not likely be detectable unless it is in the gap between the belts at the time of testing.   Dust/debris on the sensor windows themselves, or scratches or damage to the sensor window surfaces.   Deeper sensor gate issues will need to be addressed by an on site technician.
  • Once the cause has been found and remedied, have them exit out of the menus until they are back into the main operation screen.   Start the machine back up and test for proper function. 
  • If surface cleaning of all gate sensor windows, the belt surfaces, and the gate cover insert and assembly does not resolve the issues, a technician visit should be scheduled for Preventative Maintenance to correct the issues.  Interior cleaning and alignment will likely be needed.
