Cubiscan 200TS | Front/Rear Gap is too short (Error 21, Error 22 In Qbit Software Window)

Front Gap is too short, Rear Gap is too short Errors (Error 21, Error 22 In Qbit Software Window)

The Front/Rear Gap is too short error indicate that the gap between packages on the most recent measurement was not large enough, so the package could not be measured properly.  This condition primarily affects the weight as having more than one box on the scale too close together prevents the scale from measuring the boxes accurately.  As a rule of thumb, there should be a minimum of 28" of gap between the boxes as they are sent into the Cubiscan.  The green light on the top of the machine indicates when it is ready for a new box to be sent.  This corresponds with the gap required.

This error can also be caused by flapping material on the conveyor belts that interferes with the length sensors and makes the machine think there is another box in the system.  Dirty/Intermittent Length sensors is also another possibility.  If all belts are clear, but this error occurs when sending a box through the system, run the Photo Sensor test and verify that the sensors are functioning properly.   It is likely the system will need a preventative maintenance visit if the Photo Eye sensors are not working consistently.
