Scale in error state, data connection issue, no scale data on the Qbit Software screen
The OCS scales come in a number of varieties. Up until late 2023 the OCS EVO model was most common. The OCS scales may use RS232 Serial data fed directly to the Com 1 port on the CIS PC, they may also have a Serial to Ethernet converter in the main cabinet which sends the data over Ethernet. This is typically a Phoenix Contact FL Comserver/converter which must be assigned an IP address to work properly with the Cubiscan/CIS System. (Pictured Below)
Possible reasons for data issues are that the scale is in an error state (may need to be zeroed out or calibrated), the photo eye at the entry of the scale is not aligned properly, the IP or Serial data connection(s) is faulty, etc.
