OCS EVO Scale | Scale will not Zero

OCS Scale will not track zero, or will not zero out.

OCS Scales are very sensitive to changes to the scale bed assembly.  In most cases, if the scale will not zero out, it is typically due to an external object touching or being placed on/within the scale assembly.  The scale sensor detects the added weight, and will not automatically compensate for it because it is outside of the zero tolerance range.

For existing equipment, check in and all around the scale conveyor assembly to look for outside influences to the scale.  This could be cables or objects improperly hung from live scale components, something wedged into a gap, or an object leaning on the scale assembly.  If no external influence, or large accumulation of dust/debris within the scale assembly can be identified, then it is likely safe to proceed with a Scale Calibration/Adjustment procedure.  Contact a Cubiscan Service Representative for a copy of the OCS EVO Scale Calibration procedure.

If this condition occurs during installation, ensure that all shipping brackets have been removed, particularly the ones underneath in the middle of the scale assembly, and if an Encoder has been added to the scale belt, it will need to be calibrated to compensate for the additional weight.
