A brief explanation of the QbitIMS Software
Qbit IMS was developed for integrating data from the various system components of In Motion Systems. Typically these systems are Conveyorized shipping lines, but QbitIMS is by design flexible so that it can handle 1,2, or 3 data inputs. Typically these are Barcode, Scale(Weight), and Dimensions. These data points are used in most cases to initiate a ship request process in automated shipping systems installed by Cubiscan Integrated Services (CIS)
Qbit IMS is capable of creating/updating package database files, sending ship requests directly to a customer server or to a 3rd party rate shopping service, or it can pass the ship request process over to another application such as QbitTNT for the ship request handling. In most cases, QbitIMS is paired with one or more instances of QbitTNT in a CIS system installation.
