Farmington, Utah – Worldwide dimensioning solutions provider, Cubiscan, recently announced that a new version of its Cubiscan 75 parcel dimensioner is now available. The new model is called the Cubiscan 75-Pro. The CS 75-Pro's exterior design, user interface, and dimensioning capabilities will provide more versatility and precision for shippers.
The previous version of the Cubiscan 75 excelled at collecting the dimensions of boxes. While still designed for outbound shipping environments, the CS 75-Pro can dimension parcels, flats, polybags, and some irregular-shaped items with new machine learning capabilities. Once an item is placed on the system, the measurement process takes one to two seconds.
In addition to its enhanced dimensioning capabilities, the CS 75-Pro features a more low-profile design. The system is easy to assemble, simple to maintain, and can be picked up and moved by one person. These modifications come without sacrificing the durability and longevity that Cubiscan products are known for.
Cubiscan’s Director of R&D, Brandon Taylor, is excited to see how the changes improve the user experience. He stated, “The new Cubiscan 75-Pro uses machine learning techniques to optimize the measuring algorithms. By using machine learning, we are able to improve the measurements when subjected to different temperatures, different colors, and other environmental factors that are present. This is a technique that has not been used in previous versions of the Cubiscan 75.” He continued, “The User Interface (UI) has been greatly improved from the Cubiscan 75 V2. The UI has been rebuilt completely to be more user friendly and intuitive for the user. More features have been added including “themes” that the user can use to change the color appearance of the screen. The measurement screen where measurements are performed, otherwise known as the “home” screen, is simple and easy for the operator to read and use.”
